Dr. Andreas Purath succeeds Heinz Martin Esser, who retires on October 31, 2020. He takes over the areas of sales and marketing, service, commercial administration and human resources.

Fabmatics earns 2nd place at the Saxon Innovation Award 2019

At the futureSAX innovation conference on June 19, 2019 at the Ostra-Dome Dresden, Fabmatics was honored as one of the most innovative companies of the year for its further development of the mobile robot SCOUT.

Welcoming Dr. Roland Giesen as new Managing Director

Managing Director and founder of Fabmatics GmbH (formerly HAP GmbH Dresden), Dr. Steffen Pollack, is moving to the newly established company advisory board at the turn of the year. His successor as managing director is Dr. Roland Giesen.

Following the successful merger of the two companies, the two workforces, which previously operated at separate locations, are now also being brought together at one location.

Both companies merge and will do business under the new corporate name Fabmatics GmbH and Fabmatics USA Inc., respectively, starting September 1, 2016.

Our newly developed and patented storage system - the FlatStocker - was installed for the first time at a customer for the intermediate storage of 200 mm wafer cassettes.

Roth & Rau - Ortner receives the largest single order in the field of factory automation, worth € 3.2 million, by BOSCH.

Three business units

Roth & Rau becomes a member of the Meyer Burger Group. Roth & Rau - Ortner GmbH restructures itself and forms the three business units "automation", "products", and "installation & service". The company is therefore able to react to the increased demand with a wider range of services.

Foundation of Ortner c.l.s. GmbH

Ortner cleanroom logistic systems GmbH is founded in Dresden. The main focus of the company is on installation, maintenance, and 24/7 monitoring of wafer transport systems. Major customers include the companies Murata, Infineon, AMD (today Globalfoundries), and Siltronic.

Construction of Siemens factory in Dresden

Siemens invests in SIMEC semiconductor factory in Dresden. The cooperation between HAP and SIMEC (today: Infineon) begins.

Technology Centre Dresden South

New headquarters

HAP moves to the Technology Center Dresden South.

An Austrian in Dresden

The Austrian company Ortner Reinraumtechnik begins its activities in Dresden and installs the first 200 mm wafer transport system at Siemens (today Infineon).

Cooperation with HSEB and Jenoptik

The  early years of HAP are characterized by an intensive cooperation with HSEB and the companies of the Jenoptik Group.
