FlatStocker: New automated storage system for the first time in use
The innovative zero footprint storage solution enables a space saving storage of 200 mm wafer carriers underneath the cleanroom ceiling.
Developed and patented by Roth & Rau – Ortner, FlatStocker has been installed for the first time at a customer’s site for intermediate storage of 200 mm wafer cassettes. The 14 metres long and 86 storage positions comprehensive system was installed during the running production and is in productive utilization for half a year now.
Without using valuable cleanroom floor, FlatStocker is hanging underneath the cleanroom ceiling. Because of a connection to a conveyor-transport system and vertical lifts is a fast acess to the lots possible.
Further FlatStocker systems are already at the planning stage.
