Fabmatics is “Genial Sozial” Fri, 05 Jul 2019 07:29:30 +0000 On July 2nd it was time again: On “Genial Sozial” day Fabmatics received strong support by an school pupil of class eight from Goethe Gymnasium Bischofswerda and school pupil of class nine from Vitzthum-Gymnasium Dresden. The two boys helped our employees in shipping, manufacturing and mechanical engineering.

For example, shipping documents were created, spare parts were packed for cleanrooms and pick-ups were booked. Of course, it was also possible to take a look at customs and commercial aspects. In manufacturing, important production drawings of CNC milling machines had to be sorted and filed correctly. In engineering, Excel lists were created for SAP articles and warning and information signs were created in PowerPoint. Of course, the boys could also take a look at the Fabmatics robot test area.

The money earned from the project is transferred from Fabmatics to a designated account. About 30% of the money for social projects goes to the own school. The other part is donated to young people in poorer countries to improve their education and living conditions. Apart from the feeling of having done something really good, the day also gives the pupils insights into various professional fields and activities. And perhaps we have already been able to win some Fabmatics young talents…

We did it! Fabmatics achieves the 2nd place at the Saxon Innovation Award 2019 Tue, 25 Jun 2019 09:55:50 +0000 After a few exciting weeks since the Top10 Nomination in April and the pitch presentation to the expert jury in May, it became clear to us on 19 June that Fabmatics is one of the winners of the Innovation Award of the Free State of Saxony. At the futureSAX Innovation Conference last Wednesday, Minister of Economic Affairs Martin Dulig presented awards to Saxony’s most innovative founders and entrepreneurs as well as the best knowledge and technology transfer projects to around 500 guests.

In the category “Saxon Innovation Award“, Fabmatics was able to secure second place with its freely navigating, mobile robot SCOUT, which allows scaling in size & form as well as in terms of the handling unit thanks to its hardware & software-based modular design.

First place went to INNOPERFORM GmbH from Malschwitz for its product arimeo CS, an innovative window rebate ventilator for plastic windows. Zellkraftwerk GmbH from Leipzig landed in third place for its unique hardware and software technology platform, which is successfully used in immunoncology, autoimmunity research or the development of cellular therapies. The three prize winners will receive prize funds totalling 50,000 Euros.

Congratulations to all winners of the “Saxon Innovation Award”, the “Saxon Founder Award”, the “Saxon Transfer Award” and the special prizes “futureSAX Audience Prize”, “Special Prize of the Saxon Chambers of Skilled Crafts” and “Special Prize for Technology Mediators”! A big thank you goes to the expert jury, the futureSAX team of Marina Heimann for this great and inspiring event and of course to our great and dedicated Fabmatics team!

Fabmatics at SEMICON West 2019 Wed, 22 May 2019 09:19:18 +0000 Complete, 100 percent identification of wafer batches is a necessary prerequisite for any material flow automation in semiconductor factories. As a supplier of integrated intralogistics solutions such as mobile robots, automated transport and storage systems, RFID systems are therefore also part of Fabmatics GmbH’s product portfolio.

We offer LF and HF RFID systems for fast and easy identification of the material in the production process. These are specially designed for use in clean rooms, can be easily integrated at various points and support established interface standards. Our current RFID portfolio includes LF and HF readers, suitable accessories such as antennas and various RFID-based logistics products, e.g. RFID trolleys, RFID racks and loading and unloading stations for OHTs.

Your wafer cassettes are not yet equipped with RFID tags? Fabmatics also offers a retrofit solution for this. We accompany our customers in their RFID project from planning through test installations to roll-out including system integration and beyond.

Get to know our RFID products at Semicon West and discuss your individual requirements with us. You will find us at the Silicon Saxony booth (German Pavilion) #1451 in the South Hall of the Moscone Center.

Of course we also provide information about our other products.

TOP 10 – Fabmatics is nominated for the Innovation Award of Saxony 2019 Tue, 23 Apr 2019 12:24:18 +0000 The new SCOUT® is an autonomously navigating, mobile robot for flexible material transport in semiconductor factories. Due to its modular hardware & software design SCOUT® allows scaling in size, form and handling unit. Therefore the robot can be adapted to any customer requirements.

A wide range of transport and handling tasks can be carried out with one basic vehicle type. This leads to low costs for maintenance procedures, the stocking of spare parts or product training. In addition, the footprint of automation technology in the production area is minimized, which is particularly advantageous in cost-intensive cleanroom environments.

It is the 20th Innovation Award of the Free State of Saxony. It honours innovative products, services, processes, procedures or social models of companies. The nominees include 10 companies from 24 applications from 7 sectors and 11 regions.

The next round will begin on 22 May 2019 and Fabmatics will present the SCOUT®, an innovative product in the field of mobile robotics in cleanrooms, to the futureSAX competition jury. The winners will be announced at the futureSAX Innovation Conference on 19 June 2019.
